Trubrain Review: Neuroscientist Backed, But How Good Is It Really?

Our rating:

Product name: TruBrain Nootropic Drinks & Capsules

Trubrain’s catchy tagline is ‘carpe more diem’, and their capsules and drinks are nootropics that are designed to improve mental endurance, increase your fluency and cognitive function and allow you to focus more effectively, meaning that you can do just that.

This Trubrain review will give you some idea of what is in the product, or what effects it may have, and will outline some of the consumer testimony about it.

Like all nootropics (smart drugs designed to improve brain function, in case you don’t know), Trubrain’s supplements have proved popular with students, those in academia and general high-flyers in the corporate world who want to ‘seize the day’.

Trubrain comes in two forms: capsules and drinks.

TruBrain Product Details

Trubrain is designed by UCLA trained neuroscientists to allow you to ‘grab more life’, and, though Trubrain are clear that they do not promise any miracles, they do claim that their products, which include capsules and drinks to boost your cognitive performance and general focus.

As well as promising to help you juggle distractions and improve your memory, help with your mental endurance and focus all day, and allow you to overcome mental blocks.

The capsules contain powerful nootropics that are designed to have a profound positive effect on the brain, increasing its plasticity. The formula has been tested both by trials and through brain wave analysis, and so it is clinically proven.

TruBrain: Our Verdict

Our rating:

TruBrain has received many positive reviews, particularly the drinks we think it's definitely worth a try if you're in the market for this type of product.

As well as the capsules, which are perhaps the most obvious choice, Trubrain also offer a range of drinks, which have probably been their most talked-about product, as they are convenient, have a funky design, and they are ideal for taking on the go.

These drinks come in packs of 20, comprising of 1oz shots that provide a complete nutrient supplement and also contain 80mg of caffeine. They are a perfect daily fix to get you going and improve your cognitive performance, according to Trubrain.

What We Liked

  • Increased Motivation
  • Improved Energy
  • Great Tasting
  • Convenient

What We Didn't Like

  • Too sweet tasting for some

One customer found it to be a truly ‘amazing’ product, and said that it increased their motivation and focus. Another said that it improved their mental focus exponentially, and that they did not notice any negative side effects.

A further reviewer stated that the world ‘had a curious novelty to it’ and they also drew attention to the packing and box, which they said was really well designed.

The drinks in particular have drawn a lot of attention, and they have been hailed as something of a revolution in the world of nootropics.

This is because they can be taken on the go, they have a great taste, and they can be added easily to smoothies, which means you can customize and add to your nootropic stack in any way you want that suits your lifestyle.

Some have been a little scathing of the sweetness of the supplement, and they say that the sugar and sugar substitutes are actually unnecessary additions and an inexplicable choice for a supposedly healthy supplement.

One reviewer who was actually very positive about the supplement did comment upon the fact that Trubrain made their mind race, which does not seem conducive to the increased focus that is promised.

Another complaint is the sheer volume of pills that you are advised to take: in the ‘loading’ phase, one must take 13 pills in a day, which is a huge amount that obviously has an effect on your wallet.

Trubrain are clear about what they are offering. They do not claim that they can offer you miracles. They do not say that they can make you a ‘rocket scientist’.

They merely offer you a greater focus, improved clarity and the ability to ‘carpe more diem’. And that, for some of you, will be enough.

Their range of products (the fact that they offer a drinks package and some capsules), their attention to detail (the taste of the drinks and their packaging are both extremely well thought out) and the fact that they claim to have some heavyweight brains behind their products (their CEO is a graduate in Neuroscience from UCLA), means that those who are interested in nootropics in general may well just sit up and take notice when they hear the name ‘Trubrain’.
